A Memorable Day on the Slopes

It was a bluebird day in New Hampshire as members of the KUA community gathered on February 5 for the 2022 Fei Cup and Harry Robinson ’74 Memorial Ski Day.
More than 90 students, faculty, alumni, and friends enjoyed a day of skiing, racing, and reconnecting at Storrs Hill in nearby Lebanon. The event saw 30 racers take to the GS-style course, ranging in age from 6 to 82.

This year’s winners included:

Feichtinger Cup Winners: Cory Tusler ’74 and Jane Tulloh ’76
KUA Student Race Winner: Takeo ’23
KUA Community Member Winner: Ryan McKeon, faculty
Most Persistent Award: Charlie ’23
Little Rippers Awards: Opal McKeon and Isla Noonan

Georg Feichtinger H’02 P’89 ’96, the race’s namesake, was on hand for all the action, racing, and handing out awards. Feichtinger taught and coached at KUA for 32 years. He left a legacy of sportsmanship and dedication that remains in the hearts and minds of students and faculty. The Feichtinger Cup Ski Race honors his enduring commitment to KUA. In 2015, the ski race was expanded to honor Harry Robinson ’74 whose dedication as a volunteer helped grow the Feichtinger Ski Race.
