KUA edges Dublin on a beautiful day for tennis

Saturday was a beautiful day for a drive to Dublin, and even nicer to play a long day of tennis matches. The two teams were evenly matched, and fortunately, KUA came out on the good side of two tie-breakers. The day began with four doubles matches. #2 doubles (Merrill and Sarah) won their match, as well as #3 doubles (Hanna and Izzy). Hanna and Izzy provided the first excitement for the day as their match was tied 7-7, forcing tie-breaker number one of the day. #1 doubles (Emily and Jane) came up short in their match. The #4 doubles (Helena and Alissa) won their exhibition match. The singles matches came next, and #2 Merrill kept KUA on top with a victory. #3 Jane and #4 Eva played well, but Dublin took those two matches. #1 Emily was locked in an epic battle, winning her first set but then dropping the second, forcing the day's second tie-breaker. Emily played some of her best tennis in that tie-breaker and came out with the win. #6 Sarah then brought home the deciding match, finishing just before #5 Hanna also secured her match. The day ended with two more exhibition matches, both wins for KUA, with #7 Izzy and #8 Ellie.
