KUA Closes Out Season with Resounding Win at Brewster

On Senior Day, KUA traveled to Wolfeboro to face Brewster Academy.  Seniors Hill Carter, Charlie Baughman, Tinashe Mtetwa, and Anthony Fresolone all started as is Coach Hunnewell's tradition.  Though the Wildcats did not play particularly well in the first half, especially on the defensive end, they were able to take a nine-point advantage into halftime thanks to some timely three-point field goals and a decided advantage on the inside.  In the second half, the team ratcheted up their defensive effort and were ultimately able to pull away.

Captain Hill Carter closed out his KUA basketball career in style with a dominant performance on both ends of the floor, finishing with 17 points and 10+ rebounds.  It was a great senior season for Carter who averaged a double-double.  The day belonged to the other seniors as well as Baughman (4 points), Mtetwa (7 points), and Fresolone (3 points) helped to carry the Wildcat offense and also turned in strong defensive performances.  Also having excellent games were captain and KUA's leading scorer Andrew Alexandrescu '22 (18 points), Max McClure '24 (6 points), Alvin Ku '23 (4 points), Yohan Do (3 points), Brendan Walker '22, Will Sewell '23, and Keenan Thygesen '22.

The Wildcats appreciate the contributions of the team's seniors and will certainly miss them next year, but a number of talented players return and several JV2 players are poised to make the jump to the JV1 side.  See you in 2021-22!
