Three different players scored and junior goalie Charlie Schenkel made 24 saves as the Wildcats completed their weekend sweep of the New Hampton Huskies with a 3-1 win at New Hampton on Saturday. KUA opened the scoring two minutes in when senior Bryce Bollman jammed home a loose puck, with assists going to senior Grant Eastwood and junior Alex Keller. New Hampton tied the game a few minutes later and the teams entered the second period tied at two. Just a minute into the second period, junior Jaiden Moriello collected a pass from senior Nick Bernardo and showed great poise with the puck before beating the New Hampton goalie. Leading 2-1 in the third period, the Wildcats got a big goal from junior Adam Cardona at the tail end of a powerplay with nine minutes left to play. Schenkel shut the door the rest of the way for the Wildcats, who improve to 4-0 in Lakes Region play.
