Wildcats Win In Overtime
Junior forward Jaiden Moriello scored on the powerplay a minute into overtime as the Wildcats rallied from a 3-1 deficit to beat Tilton 4-3 at Tilton on Friday. After falling behind 2-0 in the first, KUA got a shorthanded goal from senior Sean Donoghue, with the assist going to classmate Grant Eastwood, to pull the Wildcats within one heading into the second period. Tilton scored midway through the frame to take a 3-1 lead, but Will Blackburn's one-timer from the slot on the next shift found the back of the net to cut the Tilton lead to one. Moriello and Liam Walsh earned assists on the play. Just 36 seconds into the third, senior Bryce Bollman converted on a KUA powerplay to tie the game, with assists going to Thomas Pichette and Nick Bernardo. Junior goalie Charlie Schenkel (22 saves) made some key stops down the stretch to keep the game tied and to force overtime, where Walsh and Bernardo set up Moriello, who wristed the game-winner under the bar to complete the comeback.
