Wildcats Too Much for Holderness

Jaiden Moriello and Thomas Pichette each scored two goals while Bobby May and Bryce Bollman had the others as the Wildcats won a 6-2 decision at Holderness on Sunday. In a game played in two halves, Moriello opened the scoring on the second shift of the afternoon, burying a rebound from a Duncan Ramsay shot. Liam Walsh tallied the other assist on the play. Seven minutes later, Pichette sniped a powerplay marker after an impressive rush up the left wing, with assists going to Nick Bernardo and goalie Charlie Schenkel. Holderness tied the game with a late goal in the first and an early marker in the second, but May's slapshot from the point sailed into the top corner just minutes later to put the Wildcats on top for good. Bollman doubled the lead halfway through the frame when he stole the puck at the KUA blue line and executed a backhand toe-drag to score on a breakaway. Pichette scored his second of the game just two minutes later, with assists going to Bernardo and Revy Mack. Moriello capped the scoring with eight minutes to play when he chased down a Lucas Constantine pass and beat the Holderness goalie over the glove. Schenkel (16 saves) and Colby Boyce (11 saves) split the goaltending duties for the Wildcats, who are next in action against New Hampton on November 21st.
