KUA drops a close one to undefeated AA rival Cushing Academy, 60-57
Cushing's Desi Bede's game high 26 points proved to be just enough for Cushing to escape with a three point victory, 60-57, today in Meriden. KUA battled back from an 11 point deficit midway through the second half to make it a game at the end. A late three from Noah Lack cut the lead to three and a steal and a last second shot by Trent Noordsij fell just short as the clock ran out. Noordsij had a game high 17 points shooting 5-8 from beyond the arc. Spencer Cline, 12 pts, and Eze Dike, 11pts, joined him in double figures. Cushing remains undefeated at 11-0 while KUA's record drops below 500 at 6-7 with a trip to Vermont Academy next Wednesday.
