Last Game of The Season
The JV Field Hockey team traveled to Holderness for their last game of the season. KUA had a sloppy first half, quickly digging a four goal hole. However, in the second half, KUA was a different team. They pulled themselves together and won the second half. Defenders Jesse Leung, Maggie Hicks and Sunny Sun fought hard to protect their goalie. Anda Brown played both defense and midfield. She hustled, worked to find space and support her teammates. Grace Bonner had a great game, helping KUA move the ball to the offensive zone. Caitlin Doyle had an excellent shot-attempt off of a corner. Lucy Pike had one shot on net, and proceeded to assist Yiwen Xu's first ever field hockey goal! Reagan Schaffer once again stepped up to play goalie. After sustaining an injury in the first half, she rose up, regrouped and game back with fire. She confidently saved 8 shots, including one Holderness breakaway. We were grateful for her willingness to try something new so late in the season. Our team would like to thank each of the seniors, Maggie, Jesse and Caitlin, for their wonderful addition to the team. We will miss them next year!
