The JV field hockey team had the best game of their season today versus Holderness, earning an exciting 1-0 VICTORY! KUA dominated the game from the starting whistle to the final horn, and the entire team contributed to the win. Our lone goal was scored by senior Maggie Hicks in the second half and was assisted by a diagonal pass through the circle by Lucy Pike! KUA spent a great deal of time dominating the offensive circle, with supportive help from the hustling offensive and midfield players Reagan Schaffer, Grace Bonner, Caitlin Doyle and Natalie Paine. Dorodia Huang and Even Xu provided much needed fresh legs and support on the field. Center defensive player Anda Brown displayed her strongest sense of game-awareness yet, working to attack the ball in the red zone with her stick. Jesse Leung held down the defensive fort with a great deal of effort as the sweeper. Gabby Pais, Sunny Sun and Kristen Richardson played a strong defensive game as well. Goalie Seana Perkins had a shutout, saving seven balls (including a diving save at the end of the first half!).
