Incredible Effort Comes up Short Against Tilton Rams
After losing to the Rams by 34 points on January 20th, the Wildcats proved their mettle today by maintaining a slim lead throughout most of the contest. KUA was up 33-31 at the half and battled hard with a deep and talented Tilton team all afternoon, eventually dropping the contest, 55-46.
Taylor Soule led all scorers with 26 points, going 12-for-15 from the free throw line, before fouling out with just under three minutes to play. Christina Ryan also chipped in with double figures with 14 points, including 9 points from downtown.
Tremendous team defense and a much improved effort on the boards, kept KUA in the game until the very end. Ella Bankert came up with 6 key steals while Kate Fowler (9) and Soule (15) hauled in rebound after rebound. Miranda Judd (5 steals) and Bankert (5 assists) played all 32 minutes with the utmost determination and guts!
While the scoreboard indicated a loss, the Wildcats came away with several poitives from today's match-up. Onward and upward!
