KUA Prevails in Wildcat Battle
KUA wins the battle of the Wildcats in girls' basketball action today in Meriden. The hosts raced out to a 15-2 lead in the early going and never looked back. Pressure defense, rebounding and balanced scoring was key to KUA's success.
Christina Ryan led the way with three triples and a total of 15 points on 6-for-8 shooting. Miranda Judd was a perfect 6-for-6 from the foul line and finished with 12 points. Taylor Soule added 10 points and 6 rebounds. Five different players dished three or more assists while Kate Fowler was a huge presence in the paint grabbing a team high 9 boards.
Final score: KUA-54, Vermont Academy-38. KUA improves to 12-3 and plays host to Class B Brooks School tomorrow.
