Brewster Academy's boys basketball team withstood a staunch challenge from KUA before finishing out a 71-66 win over the Wildcats in an entertaining match in Meriden Friday night. KUA jumped out to a lead in the first half and went in at the half with a 35-28 lead behind a strong performance from Luke Rosinski scoring 13 of his game high 17 points in the first stanza. KUA maintained their lead well into the second half before Brewster went on a run late to build a lead of ten, 66-56 with 2:30 left, and then go on to withstand KUA's challenge as time ran down, 69-66 with 7.2 seconds left, to win by a final score of 71-66. Luke Rosinski was joined by three other KUA players in double figures for the night, Nate Knight (13pts), Ross Gerber (10pts) and Garrett Turner (10pts). KUA will take their game up the road to play AAA opponent New Hampton on Monday.
