Holderness came to Meriden NH tonight to take on Lakes Region and Class AA rivals Kimball Union. Kimball Union came out on top, 55-49 in a game that saw both teams struggle to find any sort of offensive rhythm. The Wildcats built a ten point lead as the first half ended only to see Holderness peck away at it until they took a one point lead 36-35 with just under ten minutes to play in the game. A small offensive spurt sparked by Cooper Williams coming off the bench scoring 6 quick points allowed KUA to build their lead back up to six as time wound down. Nate Knight lead KUA in scoring tonight with 14 points; Travis Valmon added 11 in the win. KUA shot 19 for 23 from the line in the second half alone as Holderness struggled with 14 second half fouls. KUA runs their record to 13-4 with Brewster Academy coming to town on Friday.
