Vermont wins a barnstormer, 74-64

Vermont Academy's boys basketball visited Kimball Union today and battled to win a toughly contested match 74-64 behind 19 second half points from Bruce Brown.  KUA got off to a quick start going up ten 7 minutes into the game only to see Vermont push back and take a one point lead, 29-28 at the half.  Despite Brown's second half performance KUA stayed right with the  Vermont squad, being down only six with 7 minutes left to play.  A banked three by Vermont's Romich stopped KUA's push at this point as the teams traded baskets the rest of the way.  Ross Gerber lead KUA scoring for the night with 15 points (5-10 from beyond the arc).  Luke Rosinski had 16 hard earned points in the paint, and Nate Knight joined them in double figures with 11 points for the night.  KUA's record now stands at 11-4 with an important Class AA match-up vs Wilbraham on Saturday.
