Boys JV lacrosse fall at New Hampton

The #watchbros have a saying: when the skies fill with clouds, we fight in the shade. The shade, in the case of the #watchbros encounter with the distant armies of Nero Hamptonis, was less literal than metaphorical. Despite suffering at the hands of the Hamptonites early on, the #watchbros steadied themselves to fight confidently in the latter epochs. We often wait many seasons to offer the black cloak to #watchbro youths, but on this day, it was Calvin of the T's and W's who earned his dinner (and cupcakes, cookies and doughnuts on the march home) with his precise and finicky marking of our foes. Young Bluejay Jaybird from the growing village of Cogan zipped between the Hamptonites to receive passes and deal apples. The two offensive strikes came first from Sir Samuel "My name is also not Tarley, I assure you" Isaacson, who whipped home when the #watchbros had gained numeric advantage. Next, it was Conrad le Beaupre, the #wathbros' Keeper of the Hounds, who hounded the Hamptonites with four attacks in succession, finally defeating their net minder. Holding down the back of the ranks, the wizened Sir Rexeus of the Mill maintained focus throughout the battle, while the great and much lauded and holder of an honorary degree from the University of Sorcery and Spells, Sir Jonathan "Nine-fingers" Butler made save after save. The #watchbros shall regroup into the eve, and be ready again by the week's end.
