The Wildcats played their Lakes Region Rivals, the Holderness Bulls on Halloween. The Wildcats scored first, five minutes into the game. A Holderness player redirected ball back into her defensive circle and freshman Madison Gesner (West Newton, MA) shot it on goal. The Wildcats continued to create chances on net but the Holderness Bulls became much more offensive as well. The Bulls scored three late goals in the first half to finish the half 3-1.
The possession went back and forth in the second half with strong passes from senior captain Maya Karosas (Stowe, VT), junior Kelsey Pollard (Meriden, NH) junior Miranda Judd (Lebanon, NH), and freshman Mia Brown (Woodstock, VT). Holderness scored the last goal of the game on a penalty stroke in the middle of the half. Sophomore Sofia DiAntonio (Cornish, NH) played a fantastic game in goal with 10 recorded saves.
The Wildcats play again on Saturday against Hebron Academy at Holderness at 3:45.
