The New Hampton Huskies came out strong today against the Kimball Union Wildcats. The Huskies brought the ball into their offensive zone a number of times but strong saves by sophomore Sofia DiAntonio (Cornish, NH) and defense by sophomore Anna Parker (Lebanon, NH), freshman Taylor Dudek (Auburn, NH), freshman Coreen Carley (Brentwood, NH) and sophomore Liz Colannino (Old Town, ME). The forwards senior captain Maya Karosas (Stowe, VT) and junior Kelsey Pollard (Meriden, NH) brought the ball down the right side and after a cross ball, junior Kylie Shields (New Castle, NH) slid the ball in for the first goal ten minutes into the game. Shields found the net two more times off corners shot in by Karosas and junior Miranda Judd (Lebanon, NH). DiAntonio finished a fantastic game in goal and finished with 8 saves.
The Wildcats play two more games this week playing Holderness on Friday and Hebron on Saturday.
