Deerfield Beats Kimball Union: 4-0

The Wildcats played a strong game against Deerfield this afternoon. Deerfield is having an impressive season in Class A and they scored two minutes into the game off of a corner and again 6 minutes later with a redirection off the left post. The Wildcats hung in there, senior captain Maya Karosas (Stowe, VT) junior Kelsey Pollard (Meriden, NH) and junior Miranda Judd (Lebanon, NH) created passing patterns to bring the ball into their offensive zone. Deerfield scored another two goals in the second half, off of strong pushes into the circle. The Wildcats finished the game with 2 corners, to Deerfield’s 5. Sophomore Sofia DiAntonio (Cornish, NH) played an impressive game in goal with 9 saves. Sophomore Liz Colannino (Old Town, ME) earned two defensive saves and freshman Taylor Dudek (Auburn, NH) earned one. The Wildcats travel to Proctor to play the Hornets on Friday, October 10.
