The Wildcats Score in Overtime for Win Over the Rams
The Kimball Union Field Hockey team traveled to Tilton School to play the Rams this afternoon. The grass field was thick and took the Wildcats a while to adjust their play to avoid obstruction and foot calls. The score remained 0-0 at the half after 2 corners for the offense and senior Morgan Sebor (Concord, NH) making 2 saves in goal.
In the second half, the Wildcats were much more offensive. The team earned 6 corners while trying to score. Senior captain Maya Karosas (Stowe, VT), junior Miranda Judd (Lebanon, NH), and freshman Madison Gesner (West Newton, CT) played a strong game following the ball and supporting it down the field. Sofia DiAntonio (Cornish, NH) earned 3 saves in goal.
Just minutes into the overtime, the Wildcats earned a corner. Freshman Mia Brown (Woodstock, VT) tipped it a goal assisted by junior Kelsey Pollard (Meriden, NH) and Judd.
The Wildcats host the Proctor Hornets on Wednesday at 4:15.
