KUA Bats Kept Quiet in Loss to Huskies

Coach Van Dolah
Jacob Paluch's ('14) 3 for 4 day at the plate not enough in KUA's third straight loss.
New Hampton got on the board with three runs in the first with a leadoff hit batsman, two walks, an infield hit, sac fly and two errors.  KUA got two hits in their half of the first by Ben Bates ('14) and Paluch, but left both runners stranded before the Huskies tallied three more in the top of the second on a leadoff walk and three singles.  The host Wildcats had the first two batters on in the third after Noah Ramos ('17) and Paluch hit back-to-back singles, but three strikeouts ended the bases loaded threat after Alex Wesoja filled the bases with a single to center field.  Both pitchers then settled in for the final four and a half innings with each team only mustering a couple of base runners.  KUA looks for their first win of the season against Vermont Academy on Friday at home on Powers Field at 4:30 p.m.
