KUA Comes Up Short @ Williston

KUA battled hard in the 1st period and the game remained scoreless until Williston scored on the rush with 13 seconds to play in the frame. In the 2nd period, the girls did a great job of defending the middle and keeping the Williston attack to outside of the rink. Senior Amelie Poirier had another stellar night in goal and stopped everything she faced in the 2nd to keep KUA within one heading into the 3rd. Williston found their offensive momentum to go up 2-0 early in the 3rd and added two more late in the game. Despite the 4-0 loss, the girls showed persistent effort and some solid defensive structure to carry forward into next week. KUA returns to action Wed., Feb. 12 with a 2:30pm road game at Tilton.
