KUA vs. Proctor: 1-0 Win Goaltender Amelie Poirier (Sr.) stole the show and the game tonight. Proctor came on strong in the 1st period and Poirier shut the door to keep the score tied at 0-0. The 2nd period saw more Proctor pressure and the KUA girls could not convert their own offensive chances setting things up for an intense 3rd period. In the 3rd, it was KUA who found the game’s only goal when Hannah Madden (Sr.) and Lindsey Lanwehrle (Sr.) set off on a 2vs1 with 4min to play. Madden made an excellent pass through the defender to send Landwehrle in alone where she roofed a shot over the glove of the Proctor goalie. Huge credit goes to Caroline McNair (Sr.), Lexi Nottke (Fr.) and Maya Karosas (Jr.) for their tireless effort on defense. KUA returns to action Wed., Jan. 29 with a 3:00pm game at Kent’s Hill.
