The Wildcats Beat the Rams 4-1

The Wildcats beat the Rams in their second match-up this season.
The Wildcats traveled to Tilton to play the Rams today in their second match-up of the season. The Wildcats quickly adjusted to the grass field and dominated the play for the first half. Although they earned 9 corners in the first half, the team could not score against the tough Tilton defense. Sixteen minutes into the game, junior Maya Karosas (Stowe, VT) scored off of a redirection from sophomore Kelsey Pollard (Meriden, NH). The Rams answered back 30 seconds later to tie the game. With a minute remaining in the first half, senior captain Hannah Madden (Manchester, NH) shot the ball into the circle and sophomore Kylie Shields (New Castle, NH) tipped the ball into the goal.
Madden scored two minutes into the second half by dribbling the ball left to right in front of the net. The Wildcats continued to create scoring opportunities and Karosas scored again with eight minutes remaining in the game. Senior captain Justine Rouleau (Sunapee, NH) played a great game in the midfield, stepping to the ball and supporting up the field. Senior Alana Corrado (Winchester, MA) played a strong game in goal with some great clears. She had 3 saves in the net.
The Wildcats travel to Vermont Academy next Wednesday to play their fellow Wildcats.
