The field hockey team played a strong game against the undefeated Deerfield.
The Wildcats came out strong against the Deerfield Big Green today. The Wildcats took possession of the ball in the beginning of the game and brought into their offensive zone. Although the team did not score they created a great opportunity. Throughout the game, the Wildcats stepped to the ball defensively. The Big Green scored 14 minutes into the half off of a corner and again in the second half but the Wildcats never gave up. KUA continued to create great scoring opportunities; junior Maya Karosas (Stowe, VT) and sophomore Kelsey Pollard (Meriden, NH) weaved up the right side countless times crossing the ball in front of the cage. Senior captain Hannah Madden (Manchester, NH) supported the ball on the right side and stepped up to Deerfield’s offense.
The Wildcats earned 4 corners to Deerfield’s 7.
The Wildcats play the Proctor Hornets Saturday at 2:00 on Pope Field.
