The Kimball Union Wildcats came out strong in the first half by anticipating passes and recovering strong on defense. Kimball Union’s Miranda Judd, a sophomore from Lebanon, NH, scored the first goal of the game off of a flick nine minutes and forty seconds into the game. The Wildcats continued to control in their half while allowing a few big hits down the field. Pomfret tied the game less than twenty minutes later as the first half winded down off of a corner. In the second half, the Wildcats got a second wind. They pushed each and supported each other up and down the field. They continued to look up and see open players. With less than three minutes to play, senior Storm Sideleau (Contoocook, NH) scored with a strong push on goal. Kimball Union finished the game with 6 corners to Pomfrets 3 and senior Alana Corrado (Winchester, MA) had 2 saves in goal. The Kimball Union Wildcats play again next Saturday home against Vermont Academy at 2:00 on Pope Field.
