Playing under the lights against Lake Region Rival Proctor Academy, the Wildcats came up short in a 12-6 defeat. Proctor was quick out of the starting gate, building a 9-2 lead at the half. KUA stormed back in the third quarter, scoring 4 unanswered goals to narrow the deficit to 9-6. Proctor managed to score at the end of third quarter and then two more in the fourth to seal the victory. KUA’s Eric Megnia netted two goals and assisted on a third. Mike Robertello scored two goals, and PJ Tessier and Cam Beecy each added goals of their own. Glenn Corey and Mike Powell played tough long pole defense, along with short stick defensive middies Jacob Paluch and Owen Winslow. Hunter Braswell covered well in KUA’s far too many DAMD situations, and Trey McDougall, Chris Anderson, and Matt Michaud, adjusted to put the clamp on the potent Proctor offense after the first quarter let down. Santiago Morales was busy in net, turning back 18 of Proctors 30 shots.

KUA travels to Tilton on Wednesday.
