Strong Second Half Lifts KUA to Victory
KUA's pressure defense helped erase a 1-point halftime deficit at Groton. The combination of Shannon Walsh '15, Fiekah Fataar '13, Becca DeTurk '13, Jillian Clark '15 and Miranda Judd '16 forced numerous Groton turnovers which led to easy buckets and a re-take of the lead for good for the Cats.
Center Shannon Walsh had a monster game scoring a career-high 25 points, including a 4-for-4 performance from the free throw line. With her size and athletic ability, this is the type of game that she is capable of day in and day out. Fiekah Fataar, did a nice job helping to control the offense while contributing 19 points of her own. Kaitie Sanders '14, Becca DeTurk '13 and Jill Clark '15 rounded out the scoring in today's contest.
