KU loses to DA

The Kimball Union Wildcats started the game flat today allowing Deerfield to earn 2 quick goals.  DA scored 2 minutes into the half and again 9 minutes later.  The Wildcats began playing a stronger game for the rest of the half.  Becky Young (Plainfield, NH) played a smart, supportive game in the midfield.  In the second half the team did their best to get the ball into their offensive zone.  Katey Spanos (Newport, NH) created a beautiful scoring opportunity by bringing the ball down and crossing it across the circle, unfortunately the ball crossed without getting touched by a forward in the circle.

              Ali Pollard (Meriden, NH), Eibhilin Whittemore (Springfield, VT), and Mary Leech (Manchester, VT) played a smart defensive game keeping the ball out of the goal while DA had 8 corners.  Kells Casey (Sandwich, MA) played a good game in goal, saving 7 shots.

 

The Wildcats host Proctor on Saturday at 3 on Pope Field.  Come support the team as they Play for a Cure.
