Slow start too much to overcome for Wildcats in final game

er
The Wildcats traveled to Exeter to play against Tabor Academy in their final game for 2011.  Tabor jumped on KUA early, building a 5-0 lead by the end of the first quarter. The Wildcats were frustrated with their own lethargic play but not demoralized. A quick gut check at the end of the first quarter was all the Wildcats needed to remind themselves what they needed to do to compete. The goals were still difficult to come by, but the defense would not let up another goal until there were only 6 minutes remaining in the third quarter, an 18 minute span of flawless defense. The offense also managed to notch a few goals, scoring one in the second quarter, one in the third and two in the fourth, giving the Wildcats a 4-3 advantage in the final three quarters of play. While the 8-4 loss was unwelcome, the team was proud with the way they did not let down and came together in their final game of the season.
