Wildcats Get Back on Track with a Win Over NYA

KUA returned to action at home on Friday night against NYA.  This was KUA and NYA's first meeting ever.  The Wildcats started the game with alot of jump and were able to get a number of offensive chances, but weren't able to capitalize.  NYA scored on their first shot of the game off of a Wildcat defensive breakdown.  The second period was dominated by the Wildcats with goals by Kellie Joyce and Michaela Igo.  Joyce scored a nice Power Play goal off of a feed by Mary Donovan and Caro Longpre.  Igo was able to score top-shelf on the NYA goalie in a highlight reel goal.  At the end of the second the score was 3-1 KUA.  The third was another good period for the Wildcats with goals by Charlene Viens and Shannon Sebor.  The Wildcats let NYA back in the game by giving up a couple goals, however Shannon Sebor was able to seal the win with an empty net goal to make the final score 6-3.  The Wildcats outshot NYA 31-16 on the day.  KUA returns to action on Saturday at 3PM against Williston.
