Strong 2nd Half Lifts Wildcats over Bulls

KUA traveled to Holderness with 7 healthy players on Saturday and came away with a 60-48 victory, KUA's 7th in a row and 9th overall.  Though tied 27-27 with Holderness at the break, KUA eventually built as much as a 16 point lead in the second half.    Autumn Kariuki was a strong presence in the post netting 10 points in the first half to go along with 6 in the second. She also grabbed 9 boards and registered 3 assists and 3 steals.  Gabby Diaz got hot in the final 16 minutes canning 13 of her game-high 18 points while dishing 6 assists and nabbing 5 steals. Feikah Fataar was the final Wildcat in double figures on the day with 12.

Abbey Hybl got in to the scorebook by hitting two crucial 12 footers and sophomore Becca DeTurk chipped in with 6 points (3-for-3 from the floor) while holding Holderness' talented post player scoreless in the second half.  KUA shot a much improved 50% from the floor (17 assists) and 100% from the line.
