Despite a strong first half, KUA loses 68-60

KUA Boys Basketball Team travelled to Holderness today to take on one of their Lakes Region and Class AA rivals.  In a game of two distinct halves Holderness pulled out a victory winning 68-60.  In the first half KUA set the tone both offensively and defensively as they held Holderness to 16 first half points and took a 29-16 lead at the halfway point.   Dan Brooks lead KUA on the offensive end with 11 first half points.  The second half was another story as Holderness unleashed their offensive guns and shot  over 60% from the field, stretching KUA’s defense by going 8 for 13 from beyond the arc.  KUA stayed in the game right to the end tied at 52 all with just over three minutes to play,  but down the stretch couldn’t quite match Holderness at the offensive end.  Rick Naylor again lead KUA scorers with 13, Dan Brooks had 11, and Brian Fabrizius added 10 to reach double figures as well.  KUA now stands at 8-6 with their next game on Friday down in Putnam, CT.
