KUA jumped out to an early 3-0 lead against a talented Tabor team.  Tabor fought back to tie the score and gain its own momentum. The Wildcats, typical of their play all season, kept charging and winning key groundballs as they fought to a 5-5halftime tie. KUA, again, was quick out of the start, scoring two goals and then, by the end of the 3rd quarter, stretching their lead to 8-6. Tabor’s explosive offense found new footing in the 4th quarter and came back with 4 minutes remaining to tie the score and then with one minute on the clock to win 9-8.  While the loss stung, the Wildcats know that they came to compete and did so with pride, integrity, and heart. KUA won the ground ball war and played a tough, physical game against a very athletic and talented opponent.

In goal, Michael Maggiore made 8 saves for the Wildcats and the D-pole trio of Kevin Vieira, Tommy Harrison, and Ryan Cole were solid on defense. Long Poles Franklin Boswell-Taylor, Miles Hancock, and Cullen Boyle swarmed the Tabor middies throughout the game and short pole d-middie  Dennis Kravchenko stonewalled his man throughout the game.

On offense, the KUA attack controlled the ball and won key ground balls. Sophomore Max Abendroth (3 goals, 2 assist) led all scorers, while fellow attackmen Josh Rombach and CJ Frates contributed a goal each. At the midfield, Drew Simoneau scored two goals while Chris Morse fed three assist and Dennis Kravchenko dished out one of his own.

KUA (4-9) finishes its season at home on Saturday against Vermont Academy
