Down 5-2 at the half, the Wildcats came out strong in the 3rd quarter with two quick goals to cut the lead to 5-4. Their momentum stalled, however, as Andover rattled off the next four goals to keep the lead and secure the victory. KUA’s Drew Simoneau dominated the face-offs with support from wingmen Miles Hancock, Cullen Boyle, and Franklin Boswell-Taylor. KUA’s offense was able to generate shots, but blocked and deflected shots and missed passes kept gave Andover possession of the ball and opportunities of their own. Joe Loftus, Max Abendroth, Drew Simoneau, and Chris Morse each contributed goals for the Wildcats, while Ben Hayden provided the lone Wildcat assist on the afternoon. KUA’s defensive trio of Tommy Harrison, Ryan Cole, and Kevin Vieira were strong around the net and sharp in transition, often times running the ball deep into the Andover end and generating scoring opportunities. KUA (3-7) travels on Wednesday to play league rival Brewster.
