KUA Boys Basketball team returned to action today, entertaining a very talented squad from Brewster Academy before a packed house in Meriden. Brewster (14-2) a highly ranked Class A New England Prep School team sported a number of players heading to Division One programs next year took an early 13-2 lead and gradually built it up to 44-25 at the half and 92-54 by the games end. Will Barton, bound for Memphis next year put on a show scoring 31 with a number of dunks that brought the crowd to their feet. KUA dug themselves a hole early missing solid scoring opportunities in the first two minutes but then they recovered and started to show their mettle behind solid offensive play from Carlos Toussaint and Din Moore. Din ended the game with a team high 13 points, Toussaint added nine. Keith Callies had eight points and Gus Cruz started to establish his inside game scoring all of his eight points in the second half. Pascal Mensah again played well on the defensive end taking charges and forcing mistakes with his pressure on the ball. KUA's record falls to 7-6 as they look to recover quickly for a game against another talented team, St Andrews, in Providence RI tomorrow afternoon.
