Kimball Union’s Boys basketball team returned to action following their holiday break on Saturday travelling down to Thompson, Connecticut to play a talented and athletic squad from Marianapolis Prep. The first half was a game of streaks- Marianapolis jumped out to a 10-3 lead which quickly evaporated as KUA began to find their range. Lead by Carlos Toussaint’s 10 first half points KUA went up 20-10 midway through the first half only to see Marianapolis get back into the game as the half ended with the score tied at 26 all. In the second half the teams traded the lead numerous times and with about seven minutes left the score was again tied 43-43. At that point Marianapolis gradually pulled away and ended up ten as the game ended, 56-46. David Hahn was KUA’s leading scorer with 13 points, Ike Azotam lead Marianapolis with 18 points.
