A very talented squad from Tilton came to Meriden to take on the Wildcats today and came away with a hard earned 67-57 victory. Kimball Union was a focused and determined bunch as they were able to stay with Tilton throughout the night. In a see-saw battle throughout the first half KUA took a three point lead into the locker room at the half behind solid performances by Carlos Toussaint and Leslie Smith. Tilton jumped ahead with a 12-1 run at the start of the second half and were able to maintain an 8 to 10 point lead for the rest of the way. KUA’s Leslie Smith had his second strong scoring performance in as many nights as he netted 20 points for the game. Tousaint was the only other KUA scorer in double figures with 13. Tilton’s Gerald Coleman was high scorer for the evening with 23 points. KUA next travels down to the Middlesex School for a holiday tournament that starts for them with a 4pm game vs Nobles on Friday.
