KUA drops season opener 50-37

Kimball Union’s Boys Basketball travelled to Buckingham, Brown, & Nichols School today to open their 2009-10 season.  KUA got off to a decent start taking the lead 13-12 eight minutes in but then went cold for the rest of the game, shooting less than 30% from the field by the end.  B, B, &N took a 26-16 lead into the locker room at half.  The second half was more of the same for KUA who had good looks at the basket but just couldn’t find the range.  At the end B,B, &N finished up winning 50-37.  B,B, & N’s Eric Olson lead all scorers with 21 points.  KUA’s Keith Callies was the one bright spot in KUA’s game tonight with 19 points.  KUA returns to action vs Deerfield Academy who comes to Meriden for a 3:30 game on Saturday.
