KUA Girls Soccer team travelled to Tilton today and came up short losing 3-1. Tilton got off to a quick start in the first minute volleying a loose ball in from 18 yards out. KUA recovered and had numerous opportunities knocking balls into the box but Tilton’s defense was up to the task. Twenty nine minutes in Tilton make it 2-0 on a scramble in front of the net. Five minutes into the second half Tilton again scored on a ball that got behind the defense thirty yards out and then Tilton’s forward Janelle McCann won the race to the ball, eluding KUA’s goalie Emily Kelly and tucked the ball into the net. KUA’s Lauren Borislow moved forward and helped create a number of solid scoring opportunities; Maddy Kenyon served a couple of dangerous balls in from the wing that just eluded KUA’s strikers. Freshman Rebecca DeTurk scored her second goal of the season to put KUA on the board midway through the half and despite several forays into the area KUA could not find the back of the net.
