KUA Girls Soccer evened their record at 2-2 with an exciting 6-4 victory over Tilton School today. KUA got on the board in the 13th minute with a well struck finish by Caysea Benner off a corner kick served up by Shannon Doherty. Ten minutes late Doherty knocked in a direct kick from 30 yards out to put KUA up 2-0. Eight minutes into the second half Tilton struck back with a goal from Janelle McCann. She followed this up three minutes later with her second goal of the match to even the score at 2-2, and then Tilton took the lead five minutes later. In a see saw battle for the rest of the match KUA tied the score at threes with a rebound of a direct kick from Taylor Johnston; went down a goal shortly thereafter but then struck back with two quick goals from Shannon Doherty to regain the lead with ten minutes left. Rebecca DeTurk finished up the scoring for KUA with a well placed drive from 23 yards out. KUA returns to action this Saturday at home vs another Lakes Region rival Proctor Academy.
