Bulls Topple Wildcats in Eight
The KUA Varsity Baseball Team dropped their second game of the season by a score of 7-6 in extra innings. Holderness was able to load the bases in the bottom of the eighth inning and then draw a walk to score the winning run. KUA jumped out to a 4-0 lead in the second inning. The inning was highlighted by an Andrew Weitzel two run home run. Holderness answered by pushing across two runs in the third, fourth and fifth inning. KUA's bats were silenced when Holderness changed pitchers and the KUA attack could only muster three more hits the rest of the day.
Going into the seventh Holderness held a 6-5 lead. Ryan Cole led off the inning with a triple for KUA and scored the tying run on a Ryan Burgess single to left.
