Finally Outside!
The KUA Varsity Baseball Team traveled to Middlesex School for their first scrimmage of the year. Today marked the first day the boys stepped onto a field this year and they quickly adapted to the conditions. For the first day outside the coaching staff was impressed with the ability and the focus of the kids. KUA scored 9 runs on 13 hits. Defensively, the boys made plays and although we made 3 errors the overall performance was a good first step for this group.
Neil MacKenzie and Andrew Murmes had three hits apiece and Ryan Burgess and Ryan Cole each added two hits. Murmes, Cole and MacKenzie had multiple RBI for the Wildcats.
On the mound Andrew Weitzel, Andrew Murmes and Ryan Burgess got their first taste of action. For the first time throwing off a mound this year they all performed solidly. Next up is our last scrimmage at St. Paul's on Friday afternoon.
