The game was delayed nearly an hour due to snow and the lack of a referee, but eventually the opening tip did occur. KUA came out strong pulling ahead to a 10-5 lead, but Berkshire battled back to make it a one-point game at the half (24-23 in favor of KUA). Lack of rebounding and turnovers caused KUA to fall behind by 9 with about 5 minutes left to play, but KUA responded nicely thanks to the hot hands of Gabby Diaz and Bianca Brenz. Brenz went 6-for-7 from the foul line in the second half including 2 game clinching free throws with under 30 seconds remaining in the game. Down by 3 with just over a minute to play, Greydy Diaz swished a step back three to knot the score. Brenz stole the ball and was fouled and sank both freebies while Gabby Diaz hit a 12 footer to secure the victory and send the Wildcats to the championship game.
Shelby Pillsbury and Tori Agel controlled the boards for KUA pulling down 8 and 10 rebounds respectively. Agel finished with 14 points (5-for-9 from the floor), 3 assists and 2 steals. Gabby Diaz netted a game-high 18 points while Brenz and Greydy Diaz chipped in with 12 and 11 points.
