KUA traveled to Tilton, NH, on a snowy afternoon to take on a much improved Rams squad. The Rams (4-0) opened up a quick 19-5 lead behind the sharp shooting of junior Alyssa Schlehuber who exploded for 4 three-pointers in the first half alone. KUA slowly recovered and started to settle down scoring bucket for bucket with Tilton the rest of the half (19-33 at the break). The second half saw the Cats playing the Rams evenly again (21-23) despite constant full court pressure. Sophomore Bianca Brenz led the way in scoring for KUA, now 1-4, with 11 points while Tori Agel and Gabby Diaz chipped in with 9 and 8 points respectively. Shelby Pillsbury earns the Player of the Game by pulling down a team-high 8 rebounds, drawing an offensive charge and nabbing 2 steals. Greydy Diaz contributed 6 boards, 4 assists and 5 points in her first game back since studying abroad in China. Final Score: 40-56. The Wildcats will look to rebound as they head to Pomfret, CT, for the annual Pomfret School Holiday Tournament.
