Kimball Union Rolls to Victory over Vermont Academy

Kimball Union traveled to Vermont academy to make up a match fro earlier in the season that was postponed due to lightning.  This game started off much like the first with both teams going back and forth and the Kimball Union Wildcats struggling to find their rhythm.  In the 26th minute KUA finally broke through with centerback Cody Danforth tucking home the rebound off the crossbar of a Tyler Bicknell shot.  This was all KUA needed to get going.  Less than one minute later, Josh Dollinger scored on a nice build up through the midfield fro Nathan McCann and Ben Newton.  Josh Dollinger and Neil Mackenzie then provided the passes for Nathan McCann to tap one in at the 34 minute mark.  In the second half, KUA started off quickly scoring in the 53rd minute when Luke Han scored his first varsity goal on a penalty that was well-earned by Andrew Jacobson.   In the 57th minute Andrew Jacobson found Ben Newton with a nice through ball that was finished in the side-netting.  In the 61st minute Josh Dollinger and Drew Caron combined nicely to put Tyler Bicknell in for a nice goal.  Andrew Weitzel rounded out the scoring with possibly the nicest goal of the day as he headed in a well-taken cornerkick from Drew Caron in the 79th minute.  Nate Goss-Woliner and Ryan Hoyt combined for the shutout and Hoyt made an outstanding save on the final play of the match to preserve the shutout.  Kimball Union travels to Class A foe Deerfield Academy on Wednesday.
