KUA ties NMH 1-1
The Kimball Union girls varsity opened their season at Class A Northfield Mount Hermon school, and came out with a hard fought draw. NMH scored first at the four-minute mark on a beautiful shot from a well-crossed ball. KUA spent most of the first half trying to regain momentum, finally succeeding in the last minute of the first half, when sophomore Lauren Borislow collected a great pass from junior Emily Webb, and hit a left footed strike into the right side netting. The tie held up, despite relentless pressure from the NMH wings. KUA keeper Brittney Testa made some inspired saves during the last five minutes to save the tie, and KUA's Landino sisters (Sammi and Marra) did a great job on defense.
