Nichols-Hill Holdiday Tournament

After Christmas KUA went to Belmont Hill to participate in the Belmont Hill/Nichols Holiday Tounament.  KUA opened the tourney against Lawrenceville and Ben Severance was awesome in goal allowing KUA to skate away with a 4-3 victory.  Jeff Dunkle led KUA offensively with 2 goals.  The next day KUA skated against the Nichols School and played a very solid game.  Tyler Dewdney's goal and two assists led KUA to a 4-1 win.  Later that evening KUA took on Gilmour Academy.  Rob Stella got his first start in the KUA net and played well.  The rest of the team was lackluster until the third period.   KUA took a 3-2 lead in the third period on goals from Dylan Huckestein and Peter Roundy, but a late Gilmour goal tied the game and that is how things ended.  KUA was able to get the first seed in their side of the tornament bracket.  The next day KUA took on The Gunnery School in the second semi final game.  KUA was unable to hold onto a 2-0 first period lead.  Sass Schirmer's two goals led KUA's offense, but Gunnery was able to put three behind Severance ending KUA's tournament run.
