KUA vs NMH

12/7 KUA girls' hockey led by captain Charlotte Hastings and assistant captains Ashley Hall and Lauren Slipp played NMH and gave us a great game. NMH scored first but KUA came right back a few minutes later with a goal from Jaime Begin assisted by Lauren Slipp and Whitney Frates. Goalie Sam Ciocchi stopped rebound after rebound to keep us in the game. The girls made some small mistakes as they became tired and gave up 2 goals. They found their energy again in the third period and Brittney Testa was finally able to beat NMH's strong goaltender to get back into the game. Down by a goal, KUA pulled Ciocchi with 1:48 remaining and created several opportunities but couldn't find the back of the net again. NMH scored an empty net goal with 36 seconds left and the game ended in a 4-2 loss. The girls look forward to two great games this weekend; they take on Proctor on Friday and Tilton on Saturday.
