KUA vs New Hampton School

2/15 Kimball Union Boys basketball traveled to New Hampton School and in a game that went down to the wire KUA came out on top 50-49. Devin Wooten scored the last of his  5   3-pointers for the night with 30 seconds left to put KUA up 50-49. Each team had one final possession to affect the outcome but solid defense on both sides prevailed. Tied 20-20 at half, the game remained a tight match through to the end.  New Hampton built their largest lead of the night, eight points, as they started  the second half but KUA bounced back and took a small lead of their own 41-38 with five minutes left.  From that point on the lead exchanged hands with almost every possession.  KUA's Pichon Duplan had a strong game tonight scoring 10 points and gathering in 12 rebounds.  Wooten ended with a game high 21 points, scoring 17 of those in the second half.  KUA finishes out their season with four home games, two more this week playing St Paul's Friday and Belmont Hill on Saturday.
