1/25 Behind a solid team effort Kimball Union's boys basketball team defeated a talented Holderness team 64-63 with Devin Wooten hitting the winning shot with five seconds to go in the game. Holderness' Michael Heyward had just put them in front, hitting a three point shot with 20 seconds left only to see KUA fight back and connect on the final shot. Holderness' last second effort bounced of the rim and fell out. Heyward and Vitautis Kriskaus each had 18 points for Holderness. KUA's Wooten finished up hitting 5 from beyond the arch for 15 of his game high 24 points, followed by Louis Garcia with 14. Peter MacNamara went 9 for 12 from the line finishing with 13 points and Joel Booker added 10. This was the second match of the season between KUA and Holderness; Holderness won the first game 70-44 last Wednesday. KUA definitely turned the tide and came ready to play for this one. Kimball Union will return to action next Wednesday vs Vermont Academy.
